University of North Bengal (NBU) is the first university in the region established by act of the Legislature of West Bengal. The University is seeking Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various departments / disciplines. Interested candidates like to work as faculty may apply in prescribed format and send a complete application to the “Registrar” on or before 30/04/2012. Candidates applying for the post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in NBU must fulfill the required qualifications as per University Grant Commission (UGC) Regulations & State Govt. Qualifications:

1. Professor: – An eminent scholar with Ph.D Degree in relevant disciplines with good academic record with high quality research publications. Research experience of 10 years in University / College

2. Associate Professor: – Ph.D Degree in concerned disciplines with good academic record. Post Graduate degree in concerned disciplines with 55% marks. Graduate Honours in relevant subject. Teaching / Research experience of 8 years in Colleges / University with good quality publications

3. Assistant Professor: – Post Graduate Degree with 55% Marks with good academic record. Graduate Honour in relevant subject. Qualified in National Eligibility Test (NET) organized by University Grant Commission (UGC), (CSIR) or Similar test like NET/SLET

How to apply: There are two options available to obtain prescribed application form for the application against this recruitment for the post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in NBU. Either, Candidates may obtain application form from the cash counter of the university on payment of Rs.300 (25% for SC / ST / OBC) or Download the same from the website http://www.nbu.ac.in. The Downloaded application must be sent with Demand Draft of Rs.300 (Rs.25% for SC / ST / OBC) in favour of University of North Bengal NBU Campus Branch, Siliguri. A complete application (8 Sets) with 2 self addressed unstamped envelop, a copy of identical passport size photograph pasted on the application form and copies of supporting documents reach the “Office of the Registrar” on or before30/04/2012.
